God is not afraid of our messy lives. The family tree Christ enters is broken and dysfunctional, but Jesus grafts us onto His family tree by wedding His divinity with our humanity and consummating that marriage on the tree of the cross to show us it’s not about the problems we face in life. It’s about who you are with.
